Thermal Scanning
 Taiga Air Services has been the innovator in using the FLIR (Forward
Looking Infrared) system to provide new solutions to our clients.
From power line inspections to wildfire scanning, to security and
beyond, Taiga's flight and technical teams have the vision and the
experience to make the most of thermal scanning for you.
Taiga uses the FLIR 2000 series scanner, a high resolution law
enforcement grade unit which has the ability to resolve a temperature
difference of as little as 0.16oC. This scanner has
both a wide field of view and a narrowed zoomed field with a 7.5X
magnification. As well, it's HgCdTe detector is unaffected by
thermal glare, greatly increasing the air temperature in which it is
effective.

- Search & Rescue - find those who need to be found.
- Law Enforcement & Public Security - find those who don't want
to be found.
- Wildfire Scanning - map fire lines, and find hot spots on or
beneath a surface.
- Power Line Surveys - locate sources of potential failures in
transmission, distribution and substation systems.
- Wildlife Surveys - quickly and accurately determine populations
with your jurisdiction.
- Environmental Studies - confirm storm water discharges in
sensitive areas.
