Taiga's Aircraft

Taiga helicopterTaiga Air Services currently flies Bell Helicopters for all of its flight operations.  These helicopters have proven to be reliable in the field, and allow for a variety of payloads and configurations.

Bell 206L-1 Long Ranger II
One of the most successful helicopters ever built, the Bell Jet Ranger is a reliable, versatile and safe aircraft that can be quickly reconfigured to meet your needs.

Taiga helicopterThe design of this helicopter was based on the need for an executive-class intermediate helicopter, featuring ample space for passengers, and a floating transmission mount for a very smooth ride.  However, with the increased power over the Jet Ranger, this helicopter is also popular for slinging loads, from buckets of water to various types of cargo, including the occasional polar bear.  Our Long Ranger is also equipped with a stretcher door and stretcher racks for an air ambulance role if required.  Our external flat-bottomed cargo basket is handy for transporting items (up to 200 lbs.) which are not suitable for transport in the cabin or would not normally fit in the rear cargo compartment.
